How to Do Your Glow Up in 7 Days ✨
Discover how to do your glow up in just 7 days. Transform your image, boost your confidence, and become the best version of yourself with this step-by-step glow up guide.

If you’re here, it’s because the time has come to do your glow up. And if you’re wondering what a glow up is, it’s a super-fast change you can make in your life to transform both your physical image and your inner self at the speed of light.
Normally, when you make a change in your life—your image and your inner self—it usually takes quite a while to achieve. That’s because changing requires a set of self-knowledge and techniques for doing the glow up, which makes the process take a long time to complete.
Traditionally, if it were quick to do this glow up, it would be called a personal transformation. But the term glow up has come to tell us that you can make this change much faster and get results that truly show, inside and out.
Doing a glow up isn’t just about putting on makeup and that’s it; it’s about making a genuinely deep change in ourselves, to the point that others notice it. Because if we adopt a new style of dressing, new makeup, and behave differently at random, most likely no one will notice our change. That happens because we’re not used to dressing or acting in that new way.
So, it’s about the glow up being a change from the inside out, and being realistic, so that we ourselves know why we’re making that change and what our glow up is really based on.
The reason for your glow up is what will allow you to maintain this change for a long time, be the person you want to be, and shine in the eyes of others; not going unnoticed, because you are in coherence with your true inner self.
So, how can we do a glow up in just seven days? Doing a glow up in seven days is quite complicated. However, in seven days you can create a plan that will be the right start of your change towards your glow up.
When I say it’s the right change, I mean that you can do your glow up and still have chosen the wrong way to transform and shine.
When you make a mistake in this change, it’s usually because you have made an erroneous decision about which direction to take.
And here’s an example: if you decide to do your glow up and choose a persona for that new glow up you’re going to build—a new way of dressing, a new conception of yourself, and you even decide to create a new alter ego for yourself—which you will then carry out throughout your life, you might be carrying out a glow up that has nothing to do with your real self.
Therefore, these seven days in which you will build your glow up are essential so that you can make a transformation that is correct and that truly allows you to stand out in front of others. And not only that, but this transformation will make you fill up with happiness and self-esteem that will help you achieve your life goals.
What can you achieve when you do a glow up?
When you do a glow up, you can achieve many different things. In reality, you don’t get these things from the glow up itself, but they naturally stem from it.
Once you transform, all the achievements you want to reach happen spontaneously, because your inner power will attract them. There’s nothing more to say: it’s simply a natural process triggered by your glow up, because you are convinced of yourself and your transformation.
Thanks to your glow up, you will achieve things like:
- Defining your personality.
- Establishing a style of dress coherent with your personality and physical image.
- Gaining self-confidence.
- Becoming an assertive person.
- Attracting attention for your good qualities.
- Feeling proud of yourself.
- Forming the social connections you truly want.
- Deciding on a professional career that truly fulfills you.
- Knowing what your ideal partner is like.
- Having the lifestyle you really desire.
But this is just a list of big things you can achieve when you do your glow up. What you really gain is quality of life in every aspect of your existence.
I’ll share my experience.
The truth is that a glow up is very useful, and I’ll explain why, based on my life experiences. Since I was young, I’ve always been interested in knowing and understanding myself. But today, I realize that when you seek to understand yourself, what you really achieve is your glow up.
Let’s say that the glow up has evolved with me over time. I’ve achieved this glow up after a long period, evolving through the years, just as anyone would.
We all evolve slowly, because we get to know ourselves very gradually. Many times we don’t even stop to look inside to truly understand how we are, and from there discover what we want in life and express it in our physical appearance and personality.
Once you’re older, you realize the importance of this glow up, and how interesting it would have been to have achieved it much earlier.
Because before, the concept of glow up wasn’t even known. You simply had a general problem and sought to solve it by knowing yourself, but you didn’t know where to go or what goal to aim for.
Today, we know the goal is the glow up and our transformation, but in a real sense: towards our best “self.” A “self” we truly want to be part of. Not just an idealized image that has nothing to do with us, but our best version.
So, I’ve spent many years trying to reach my best version, but not intentionally—rather, I simply tried to understand myself.
Once you finish understanding and knowing yourself inside, you truly know what to expect from your personality and what to do with your physical appearance. Since I work in personal image especially, I know the importance of knowing your personality, as it’s a key piece in forming your style.
Because even if you have certain body, facial, and colorimetry characteristics, you need your personality to confirm whether you want those transformations or prefer others—towards a style that truly represents you. And that, together with your physical traits, is in harmony with your personality, so that your physical image is not seen as something isolated, but as part of a coherent whole.
Even the aspect of vocation and what to dedicate myself to has been a big issue in my life, due to the many interests I have. So being multipotential makes it even more important and relevant to know yourself, to be one hundred percent sure of what you do and do not want to do.
In the end, self-knowledge and achieving that glow up have been a constant in my life, without me even knowing it. I’ve always been searching, moving in the direction of understanding myself to perfect myself, since perfectionism is something innate in me.
And what I want to tell you with all this is that the glow up is part of me, and that’s why I want to convey its importance in your life.
At what age can you do a glow up?
The truth is, it doesn’t matter what age you are, because the glow up is something humans need. It’s essential for us: we need to know ourselves and bring out the best in us, reflecting it in our image, to feel proud and empowered in our bodies and personalities.
As I said, it took me a long time to know myself, but that was because I was doing it without knowing where I was headed. If you’re reading this article, it’s because you know you want to achieve it. Therefore, achieving your glow up will be much faster.
So it doesn’t matter so much how old you are, but that you know you want that glow up and that you are going to achieve it; that you will transform into your best version.
Whether you’re in your twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, or sixties, it doesn’t matter your age: you can transform, because your personality is within you and the power is in your body. You need nothing more than yourself and the goal of doing your glow up.
The difference between an image makeover and a glow up
I, who work in personal image, will tell you that the difference between a glow up and an image makeover—bearing in mind that an image makeover also needs to know your personality to create your style—might seem minimal, as if they were the same.
But it’s really not, because the glow up requires even more intensive work on your personality. In an image makeover, you need to know your personality in a summarized way (though accurately), so as not to have a misaligned change in style.
The glow up, however, takes many more things into account beyond style change. It includes personality and other elements that surround your transformation. These added aspects can be:
- Your health: managing aspects like your physical and mental state.
- Having an adequate diet.
- Identifying within your personality if there’s any characteristic that should be evaluated by a professional (such as a psychologist).
- Taking care of your skin, addressing possible deficiencies and respecting daily care.
- Having clarity about where you’re headed professionally in life.
- And, in general, everything related to your well‑being.
Thus, the glow up is much more than a simple image makeover. It’s a comprehensive change in your body, mind, and life, leading to a sense of fulfillment within your own being.
Why does the glow up never end?
When we set up a plan to create our glow up, we must keep in mind that the glow up doesn’t end; it continues over time. When we create these objectives—both for our external and internal selves—we can experience a rapid change if the goals we set for establishing the glow up are true and coherent with ourselves.
But external agents or circumstances can arise that make us abandon this glow up and revert to the previous state. That’s why we must continuously work on ourselves, not only to reach our glow up, but to maintain it for as long as possible and enjoy the fruits of that global change.
The glow up is a change that must be maintained over time and is constant. We must review this glow up to see how it’s evolving, if we’re maintaining it, and also to decide if we want to introduce any new change that takes us in a different direction in our life.
That’s why when you’re 20, you don’t have the same glow up objectives as when you’re 30 or 40. As we mature, our glow up may need to head in a more professional, serious, or artistic direction, depending, for example, on the profession you pursue or what you want to achieve in any area of your life.
The glow up cycle
So, we can say that the glow up cycle is summarized in a few simple steps:
- Define our glow up plan.
- Carry out the glow up.
- Ensure that the glow up is being maintained.
They’re three simple steps, but within each lies a lot of work on ourselves. Beyond being an act of self‑love, it’s a process that helps us feel much more comfortable with our lives. Because by studying ourselves, we understand things and discover new aspects we didn’t know before.
How to define your glow up plan
Your glow up plan is the roadmap you’ll follow to achieve your transformation.
In this glow up plan, there are generally three fundamental objectives you must define. Although you can add many more, to begin with a faster transformation—as the glow up theory promises—your plan should include at least the following:
- Defining your personality.
- Defining your life objectives.
- Defining your style of dress.
And once we have carried out these three searches within ourselves, we can define an alter ego which, once written down, we can put into practice to start applying the glow up in our lives.
What is the alter ego?
The alter ego is who you’ve always dreamed of being. When you’re just about to fall asleep—when your most positive ideas appear, a thousand things come to mind, and you dream of everything you’d like to be but have never been—that’s when your ideal alter ego emerges.
Your alter ego is the person who would walk on stage without fear of anything.
Your alter ego is the one willing to achieve things for her own happiness, whose desires are deeply defined in her subconscious.
In other words, your alter ego is the exaltation of everything you’ve defined in your glow up plan, and is exactly the goal to achieve. That is, the alter ego is what you reach when you carry out your glow up.
Once you complete your glow up, you become your alter ego. But before that, you must define it, and for that it’s very important to leave room for inspiration, the subconscious… and dare to dream big.
It’s not about becoming an egotistical person or thinking we’re above everyone else.
What happens is that in our daily lives, we tend to be afraid of achieving certain things. However, that inspired version—which is your alter ego—and which arises thanks to your transformation with the glow up doesn’t fear anything. So having a clear image of that ideal alter ego you want to reach will help you gain the necessary momentum. Because the glow up is, in essence, the exaltation of yourself.
But also, as I mentioned, the alter ego, being that elevated version of yourself, requires you to do a deep definition of your personality. It’s not enough to say, “I’m happy, cheerful, and sometimes a little sad.” You must know exactly what makes you sad, what angers you, why you rejoice and why you don’t… in every aspect of your life.
In the end, knowing your personality clearly means you have matured. But when you do a glow up, it’s like accelerating that maturation process. And yes, it’s true: if you’re young and want to do a glow up, it will be a bit harder because you know less about yourself. That’s completely normal (I’ve experienced it too). But the sooner you decide to start, the sooner you’ll achieve it.
So, even if you’re just beginning, you can start your glow up as soon as possible to achieve your first major transformation, and then keep defining it more and more… until you become so adept at knowing yourself that it’s hard not to master your life and achieve your goals.
