How do I know if I am Summer or Winter of Seasonal Color? How are they different?
If you have done your Colorimetry Test and you have obtained Summer or Winter as your colorimetry season but you are not really sure which of the two seasons you are, then here in this article you will leave doubts.
Before knowing what differences there are between the Winter and Summer Colorimetry seasons, you should know that both seasons are Cool seasons, that is, without golden hues, they are characterized by those whitish, almost white or dull brown skins , hair without a golden reflection and eyes equally without warm tones.
In my case, I am a Cool Winter and Cool Summer at the same time, who have the same color palettes, but one lighter than the other, and the truth is that it really matches since they are colors that I loved to wear before doing the Seasonal Color Test
You can be Winter and Summer at the same time, but only in its Cool subseason, and it is the only one exception, you cannot share a hot and a Cool season, however, the fact that you are Winter and Summer at the same time is not usually as normal as we think, and it usually happens because we are on the border of Cool skin and soft skin as is my case, oscillating with the brunette of Ve range from one to the other.
How to know if I am Summer or Winter from Colorimetry
If you know that you are Summer or Winter, then you are a Cool season. The difference between Summer and Winter is that both seasons have different color parameters, that is, the characteristics that define the colors of a person's skin, hair, and eyes must be the greatest for the Summer or Winter parameters, so you will know if you belong to Winter or Summer.
As you can see in the Colorimetry Test table that I leave below, the columns of the parameters that add up the most must be those corresponding to the season of your Seasonal Color These parameters mean different concepts as I will explain below.
Although, when you use fabrics to do the colorimetry test, the only way for them to know if you are Summer or Winter is by putting on fabrics with the color palette of each substation until you determine the one that best suits you. To me it seems simpler and more fun to do the test with the table since in a more direct way you will be able to know your station.
However, what I do not recommend is that you try to find out your head station, because what happens is that surely you don't guess and get more confused. You can use the table or the fabrics to know if you are Summer or Winter.
The parameters of the Winter color that you must meet and that must have a higher value in the Test table Colorimetry are as follows:
Bright: your hair, skin and eyes are all one color with no shades. p>
Cool: Your skin, hair and eyes do not have golden hues.
Dark : your hair, skin and eyes are darker than light, their tone has little white in their mix.
The parameters that characterize the color tones of the Summer season are:
Light: your hair will be light if it can be defined as light like your eyes and skin . If you have a light tan you will also be light skinned.
Cool: Your hair, skin and eyes will be Cool if they do not have warm golden undertones .
Smooth: your skin does not have the same color throughout, but rather has different shades caused by freckles, moles, pimples, blemishes or other skin imperfections. In the same way, it happens with your hair, which will be soft if it has various shades of dye such as highlights, and your eyes will also be soft if they have various colors.
Therefore, so that If you are a Summer Colorimetry person, you should be softer than dark, that is, in your test the soft parameter must have a higher value than the dark one, otherwise the result you will obtain will be Winter and not Summer.
From the point of view of the image, being Winter instead of Summer means that the contrast between your skin, eyes and hair will be greater, something that in Summer is more faded, more subtle.
However, it is difficult for you to say for yourself if you are Winter or Summer if you do not know how to calculate your colorimetry, it is likely that if you have doubts it is because you are confusing your skin, since if you have freckles, spots, marks, moles, pimples, your skin will be smooth, shiny.
You have to invest time in knowing exactly if your skin, hair and eyes are of character. Cool, warm, dark, light, bright, or soft eristic, because if you don't do it and you don't exactly determine these colors then you will be wrong all the time in the result, except that it can be Cool summer and also Cool winter at the same time.
