Kibbe Double Curve: How do I know if I have it on my Kibbe silhouette?
Still not sure if you have the famous Kibbe Double Curve? It is a difficult concept to understand, but I want you to know that there is an easy way to understand if you have it or not and I will explain it here.
Kibbe Double Curve! What a controversial topic. That is why I wanted to talk a little about this topic. It's not that the Kibbe Double Curve is something that makes us obsessed, but it can help you determine your Kibbe body type.
La Kibbe Double Curve se trata de dos círculos que se trazan uno en la parte superior del cuerpo pasando por los hombros/o por el pecho hasta la cintura. Y un segundo círculo que se encuentra en la zona de la cadera.
And as the term curve indicates, I do know that it resembles curvy bodies and therefore female yin bodies. That is why all people with Kibbe Double Curve have the shoulders not at 90 degrees with the neck, but rather rounded and arched downwards. Bust that is not small if not slightly full, and of course, rounded hips that differ from the waist.
That is why these curves are related to the most feminine bodies of the Kibbe scale, those with the yin characteristics most clearly represented in their appearance. Clearly, the most feminine body on the scale, the yin Romantic body, is the silhouette in which we will clearly see these two double Curve Kibbe circles represented.
All Romantic Body Types verified by Kibbe have the Kibbe Double Curve: Marilyn Monroe, Jessica Lange, Elizabeth Taylor, Juan Simmons, Emma Samms, Arlene Dahl, Madonna, Bernadette Peters, Susan Sarandon, Dolly Parton, Gina Lollobrigida.
Note, however, that the Kibbe Double Curve is not equivalent to the full hourglass. And the height of a person has nothing to do with whether or not they have the Double Curve Kibbe, although in general, and as Kibbe explains, yang male Kibbe body types do not have this double curve, so there are good chances that they do. You are tall is a body type with broad shoulders and a small chest that then does not have the double curve, but there may be exceptions of tall people who have the double curve.
And I want to explain myself well here as it can be confusing for you to understand what Kibbe Double Curve is and what it is not:
Kibbe Double Curve large chest and shoulders 90 degrees: If your shoulders are at 90 degrees to the neck and do not slope down from the neck to the shoulders as a diagonal line, for you to have a double Curve you have to have a large chest (in addition to a narrow waist and large hips), this is what happens with Marilyn Monroe, her shoulders are at 90 degrees with her neck, you don't see a slope going down from the neck to the shoulder but she has a big chest and draws that upper circle. The bottom circle is then drawn from her waist to her hips. P> li>
Kibbe Double Curve rounded shoulders and large chest: if you have a large chest, and your shoulders are diagonal from the neck to the end of the shoulder, narrow waist and wide hips, you will also have the Kibbe Double Curve big chest without having to have a big chest.
Kibbe Double Curve overweight: if you have a small chest and shoulders at 90 degrees or diagonally and from the waist there is more overweight until the upper part of the body makes it wider the chest area, even if the chest is not large, the upper circle would be drawn. When I refer to width, I refer to the measurement that you see from the front in the mirror, not to measure the perimeter of the entire contour around your body with a meter.
No Kibbe Double Curve: What is not a Kibbe Double Curve is when your shoulders are at 90 degrees to your neck or diagonally and you have a small chest. In summary when you have a small chest. This is definitely not Kibbe Double Curve. Most tall people tend to be like this so they don't have this Double Curve, but as I said before, there may be exceptions, and even if you're tall you can have the double curve. Neither is double curve all those people with a waist similar to the width of the chest. Although it is possible to have a wide waist and double courde, for this it is necessary that the chest be wider than the waist.
Remember that there is an easy way to know what your Kibbe body type is without having to know if you have a double curve Kibbe or not, and my favorite is to use my Kibbe Calculator.
The summary of the double curve is that you can draw a circle above your body and another below. You can paint these curves on your photograph to check if you have them or simply look at yourself in the mirror.
To give an example of each case, I start from the real photo of Marilyn Monroe type Kibbe Romantic that would be Kibbe Double Curve for having a large chest, narrow waist and wide hips. And then I have modified the image so that you can have an example of the other cases.
